Thu October 27, 2011 2:26 pm
The two sides reconvened yesterday at the Waldorf Astoria to reignite labor talks, and a sense of heavy optimism emanated from NBA officials familiar with the proceedings. But the NBA and players association hadn???t reached a deal as of late last night after 14-plus hours of talks. Thu October 27, 2011 2:24 am
Mark Jackson came to the Bay Area this week to meet with his coaching staff, and he came toting his completely new playbook. "Got my DNA all over it," Jackson said. Now, his task is making the playbook part of his staff's DNA and refining the new modus operandi of the Warriors' staff. To that end, Jackson and his crew spent Tuesday and Wednesday at the team's downtown Oakland facility -- the first time the entire staff had been together -- getting everyone up to speed and on the same page. Perhaps that is a silver lining of the NBA lockout. The Warriors coaching staff, which was completely overhauled, now has time to get things together.
